On July 7, 2026, the Meridian, Mississippi foundry became the newest member of the Zynik Foundry Platform, bringing with it a team of a team of skilled associates whose craft has served the mining industry and other essential sectors for more than four decades. For us, an acquisition is never just a transaction. It’s a commitment, a promise to steward a business, its people, and its legacy for the long term.

A Legacy Worth Preserving

Southern Cast Products, Inc. was founded in 1979 by Fred and Sissie Wile. Before starting the company, Fred worked for ESCO in Portland, Oregon, then moved to Newton, Mississippi to manage ESCO’s foundry there. That hands-on experience became the foundation for a business built on metallurgical expertise and a deep respect for the craft of casting. In 2014, leadership passed to Fred’s son, Daniel Wile, who carried the family’s standards into a new generation.

When the Wile family looked for a steward who could guide SCP into its next chapter, it was important to them that these stewards would continue to support the people who built it. We’re honored that the Wile family saw those values in us and chose Zynik to carry their legacy forward.

Built for the Work That Matters

SCP is a no-bake steel foundry that produces castings from 50 to 4,000 pounds and up to seven feet in length or diameter. Its principal market is mining, with additional work across rail, oil and gas, and marine applications. The team pours a broad range of alloys, from high strength, high hardness low alloy steel and carbon steel to austenitic manganese steel, corrosion and heat-resistant stainless steel, and high chrome white iron, all backed by in-house molding, melting, heat treating, and full metallurgical, spectrographic, and hardness testing.

These are the parts that keep heavy industry moving. They’re built to endure the most demanding environments, by people who take pride in getting them right. That’s the kind of skilled, essential work Zynik exists to protect and grow.
