Ben is a lawyer with over 12 years of experience, specializing in financings, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and general corporate and commercial matters. At Zynik, Ben provides business and legal counsel to the executive team and group companies, manages and supports various transactions and is responsible for all day-to-day legal matters.

Before joining Zynik, Ben was in private practice at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati in Palo Alto, Bennett Jones in Toronto and a boutique venture capital firm in San Francisco. During his time in private practice, Ben has represented numerous companies, venture capital and private equity funds and other investors in hundreds of transactions throughout the world, including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, the EU and Singapore. Ben has also co-founded, invested in and acted as an advisor to a number of startups.

Ben obtained his Juris Doctor from Osgoode Hall Law School and graduated with a Honours Bachelor of Arts degree from Wilfrid Laurier University. He is licensed to practice law in Ontario and California.
