Every year, the senior leaders across the Zynik Manufacturing Group step away from their daily responsibilities and come together for two days of reflection, learning, and strategy.

On the surface, it’s a planning meeting. But the truth is, these two days represent something much deeper. They remind us who we are and why we’re here.

We gather to look back on the year we’ve just finished—one that brought real progress, strong results, and countless examples of our people stepping up in meaningful ways. It was a great year, and taking time to acknowledge that together matters. It keeps us grounded in the effort and discipline behind the success.

But these two days aren’t about celebrating outcomes. They’re about strengthening the foundation that makes those outcomes possible.

We encourage each other.

We reconnect with people we don’t get to see often enough.

We eat together, laugh together, and talk honestly about what’s working and what needs to change.

We challenge one another with a level of trust that only grows stronger over time.

That trust is what allows us to ask the hard questions—the ones that make us better leaders and better partners to our teams. It’s what allows us to plan boldly, think long-term, and stay aligned on the future we’re building.

One of the anchors of our time together is hearing from our Chairman Iqbal Kassam and our Executive Director Nabil Kassam. They help us zoom out to the global trends shaping our industries and the daily realities of our Zynik associates, and they also bring us back to what has always set Zynik apart.

Everything we do is about building stronger companies so that we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of every associate. That belief sits at the center of our identity, and it continues to guide our decisions across every business we own and operate.

Our future depends on leaders who embrace that purpose fully—leaders who invest in their people, who push themselves to keep learning, and who refuse to separate operational decisions from human impact. If this week made anything clear, it’s that we are surrounded by exactly that kind of leadership.

These two days matter because they reconnect us with that purpose. They remind us that leadership is a responsibility. And they reinforce that the strength of Zynik doesn’t come from any single company—it comes from the way we show up for each other across all of them.

We left Toronto aligned, energized, and ready for the work ahead. The year in front of us will demand focus, discipline, and creativity. But we are stronger because we take this time, every year, to reset together.

Here’s a highlight reel from our 2025 strategy gathering—a look at the conversations, the connection, and the sense of shared commitment that will carry us into the year ahead.

Onward, together.
